poopcicle Posted May 2, 2012 Share Posted May 2, 2012 Ok so my Casino was collecting dust other than when I was recording so I decided to throw it up on Craigslist and see what I could get! I have been jonesing for a 1960 tribute plus top LP but can't afford one out of pocket so this was also an attempt at that! I didn't even have my ad up for 30 minutes and boom sold! lol so I went to GC tonight and tried out the only 1960 they had and loved it! I would have walked out the door with it but in typical GC fashion they couldn't find the included case so I told them I wasn't interested in an aftermarket replacement or a drawn out affair of them trying to procure one so I ended up having them just order a new one! So I have about a week to wait before dreams come true! The sad thing is now that my Casino is gone I am really regretting it :( I just keep telling myself I can buy another someday and that the Lp will replace my wildkat as my main player, not just sit in a case for sometimes use! So for my in store trial, the finish was beautiful weight was excellent, not gonna give me scoliosis and not light like air. The Gibson 57's sounded awesome, and setting the neck to single and keeping the bridge as is made for some real sweet music! Granted I was also playing through an egnator head and cab that smokes my rig but still as of now I can't say enough good about the 60's tribute! I only wish this model had headstock binding as that would really dress it out to the 9's! The neck is sweet but is gonna take a little time to get used to!
