Eric Clapton 00 42 ???

Wow! She sings pretty nice, too. Not sure how that bracelet would get along with a guitar top, however. She must be tiny, as that's not a large guitar.

JC, that's just a stock 000-28 EC with the pickguard removed. The 000-42 has abalone purfling around the body, plus the inlaid headstock.

I have one of these 000-28 EC's, and they are a very pretty guitar, with the aged top toner and the very nice EIR back and sides, plus the herringbone purfling, etc. I also like the square, older-style headstock.

It's actually a very, very nice guitar, and is articulate in the typical Martin way. Also has a short scale, and a v-neck profile very much like the Gibson v-neck. Only thing I don't particularly care for are the skinny Martin frets, but that depends on your playing style.

Mine rarely gets played, as I have too many nice Gibsons....

MJ ,

since you liked the song here is the translation . It was origanally done by Roberto Carlos a legendary brazilian singer :

Habits

I thought

I would be able to forget

Certain old habits.

I thought

I would no longer remember

Some things that have already passed

I thought

I could deceive myself by saying

That these things of a life in common

Wouldn't leave marks

I didn't imagine

I would be longing for

The small words

Of those simple phrases

We say before going to sleep

In the morning

A "good morning" in the bed

The informal talk

The kiss after the breakfast

The cigarette, the newspaper

The habits speak to me of things,

Of old facts

I can't forget the happy evenings

With our friends

The end of a date

The early morning

The cuddling up in the bed

The lights down

All these things

That only time

Can make us forget

And then, I see myself as lonely as I am now

And I breathe all the freedom

that someone would dream of

Suddenly, being on my own

Even scares me

Sometimes it costs me a lot

To admit a 'me' without you.

How can I forget the habits

If I haven't even forgotten about you?

Somehow, English doesn't do it justice! I'm assuming the original is in Portuguese(?). Although I didn't understand a word of it, it was nonetheless beautiful AND beautifully sung.

Great voice, great talent .... a pretty lady like her of course should have been playing a Hummingbird instead though ...

EA ,

I guess she just got that guitar because she walked into a store and they had it in stock .

Lefty birds are hard to find unless you are at SouthPaw Guitars in Tx.
