I was a little bit concerned that it has an 8 digits serial number but thanks to the guys on this forum, I realized that Gibson Acoustic probably still uses the 8 digits serialization instead of the 9 digits one used by Gibson USA (electric division). A little 'warmer', woodier, yes -- towards mahogany, I'd say, but still plenty of fundamentals (excellent bass), and articulate note separation. The top on mine is red spruce.
