Oh that does sound VERY good, basically like it was miked up. [thumbup]

Very impressive tone, must say it seems to be worth the upcharge for this unit..

The SJ looks a million dollars also, imagine how it will be in 12 months when she softens up a bit.

Made this clip to demo the Trance Audio Mono pickup, but it sounded so much like just the guitar, like it is supposed to, that I thought it might appear the mics on this screwy little Zoom were just picking up the soundhole, that I posted another one in the thread where my back is to the camera to make the point. This is played thru a Fishstick. All the tone settings on the amp are at zero. No Low Mid or High coloring from the amp. There is a wee bit of reverb. There are 4 reverb settings on the Fishstick, from little to lots, but there really is no way to completely take away the reverb, there is no "off". Hanging around trying to display just first position G C and D, and Warren Zevon popped into my head - gotta learn that song someday, the second is the first verse of a song I heard at an open-mic years ago, I have no idea of its origination. The Trance pickup, with its 2 underbridge amulets sure sounds outstanding to me. If you are looking for an option, I'd endorse at least looking at and considering this one. Bit pricey at $299, but worth it.

It sounds great Dan, at $299 its actually reasonable, but then doesnt a specialist need to install it ?

In other words could I just take it to my guitar tech who normally installs my Fishman Infinity pups or does it have to be done a TA trained specialist ?

And what would the installation cost be incase you might know ?

This was the very first one the tech at Music Villa installed - he's used to installing K&K underbridge, and he built a jig, and called Trance Audio, which I requested he do, just so they could share the nuances. Have little idea of install price, but it shoudn't be over the top. I had the stereo Trance Amulet installed in my JB at a luthier for $120 - it was the third one they'd ever done - and its a fine install. The placements of the two amulets is the key, and the folks at Trance came up with a good double-sided tape temporary install so you could get good placement locations before they were glued in for good with barge cement. The Trance Mono has a pre-amp inside the guitar at the endpin locale, and a battery on the neck block.
