siav
Hi all, It's my first post here. I am very interested in the ES-125 TDC model and saw a clean one. The thing is that it has a tune-o-matic bridge and I saw lots of them with a wooden bridge. Is it normal to have a TOM bridge on a 1965 model? Thanks for your help! jimmyl51
Somewhere along its history was probably changed out for the TOM. jim

I've seen both through the 60's. I don't have a preference any more after swapping them about on my archtops.
siav
Hi Gary, You mean it can be original setup in this guitar? Do they drill the top body to adjust the TOM bridge? Thanks!
Twang Gang
I don't think it's original equipment. I had one that was a little older than a '65 and it had a tailpiece after a floating wooden bridge. Doesn't mean there is necessarily anything wrong with the guitar - but you might want to play it before purchasing just to check it out.

bobouz
You mean it can be original setup in this guitar? Do they drill the top body to adjust the TOM bridge? When someone puts a TOM on an ES-125, the wooden base remains unchanged. Only the top saddle portion is changed out, so there is no need to drill holes to install. If you look at the Epiphone Sorrento which uses the exact same body, You'll find the TOM & wooden base supplied as an original item.
