heymisterk
Give me another 72 Strat and I'll lick your boots clean for a year! /quote] That is actually a year I am on the lookout for: It's the year I was born. But I want a Tele.
stein
That is actually a year I am on the lookout for: It's the year I was born. But I want a Tele. I think chances of finding a better '72 are better than, say a '76 or '78. If you can know the weight, that's even better. Lighter weight or medium usually results in a better Tele. And watch for nut width. (I don't know so much for Tele's, but with Strats it's not uncommon to find thinner necks at the nut for some years). AXE®
Yes Fender has good years and bad years just like Gibson. The whole year? lolz! NO! maybe a few bad guitars, but not a complete years worth. You can get a goodun or a badun from any year.
fretplay
I was never a solid body guitar fan until a friend put a Tele Custom 1974 into my hand. Post CBS, don't care! Greatest guitar! even some guy in the Stones likes them too.
