radiationmike
Hey everybody! I picked up this old Gibson from a garage sale the other day but I know nothing about it. No serial number. Nothing written inside the sound hole. It looks pretty old. Can anybody tell me anything about this guitar? Can't seem to find anything like it online. Any help I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks! j45nick
I believe what you have picked up is a fake, but would need to see a picture of the whole guitar to say that definitively. The combination of headstock shape, logo design, flowerpot inlay, and tuner buttons does not say "Gibson", despite what the logo says. Edit: I can verify that this is not a Gibson in any way, shape, form, or fashion. Fake.
62burst
What they say about "the sincerest form of flattery". Oh well, I'm sure it still makes guitar-like sounds- you could probably have fun with it.
BigKahune
. The headstock logo and flower pot look like stickers. At any rate this is definitely not a Gibson. String it up and see how it plays. Hopefully it's worth what you paid for it. .
ksdaddy
Indonesian. I've owned a couple. Oddly enough the two I owned were solid, not laminated. No truss rod. I can only comment on the two I owned. I couldn't make either one playable.
radiationmike
Bummer. Thanks for the info though everyone. Luckily I only paid five bucks for it. Guess I'll string it up and see if I can get 5 bucks worth of music out of it. Hahaha
bayoubengal1954
Wow, they didn't even try to make it look real! Well, you only paid an amount close to a latte for it.
