  1. I purchased my first ever new Gibson about 2 months ago, LP Traditional Plus, and the guitar and the case has that vanilla smell. The case most likely has it because the guitar was inside it. Prior to this, I have purchased new Gibson cases, one for an SG and the other a V and they did NOT have this vanilla smell. I can assume because it never had a new guitar with the nitro finnish in it. I have also purchased new TKL cases (same case manufacturer) and never had the vanilla smell. I'll go with it being the Nitro or even buffing compound, but whichever, it's from the guitar, not the case glues, has to be IMO.
  2. Very Nice! I just joined the LP club myself, this past Tuesday. I still love my SG's and Flying-V's but I am sold on my Traditional. It's the only guitar I've touched all week!
  3. I removed the pickguard and installed straplocks = excuse for new pic.
  4. Yes, it's a 2012. It said rosewood, so I assume the new double ply. It feels just like the rosewood on my older SG's, I can't tell the difference between the double ply and the normal RW fretboard.
  5. Just got it today - Honeyburst.
  6. Where do you live at in Ga. ? I'm down in locust grove.

  7. Good to see you back around.

    Matt
