  1. According to the chart you posted the pickups share the same color code. You described it as currently being connected in the “reverse phase” configuration. If you want to just change the pickup and have all else remain the same, copy the existing configuration
  2. Between like 5:00-6:00 on the video we witness Rob having a particularly special moment lol
  3. Aside from being a GREAT performance, that’s why I posted this. He looks so cool in this video. The hair, glasses, and clothes could all be worn today and still be cool. The other 4, not so much lol. I bet they wanted him to wear that flashy stuff but it restricted his movement they are absolutely kickin out the jams in this video though I mean Rob looks like he is absolutely peaking on an insane cocktail that almost certainly included some LSD and speed edited because I can’t count to 4
  4. Sounds like a good deal on the body and those pickup covers look immaculate
  5. I’ve never had a Whopper but isn’t BK kinda a bottom tier fast food joint?
  6. Ahh man that’s a shame. He was a great drummer
  7. There are some videos on YouTube of Sylvia Massy talking about working with Prince that I thought were really interesting. It would be tragic for that studio to close. The design of that studio is amazing. If I were hypothetically some great musician and I had my pick of any studio/engineer to record with, Albini/EA would be my first pick. The album that first made me aware of Albini was Surfer Rosa, which coincidentally is one that he has expressed some regrets over. I love that album though. Steve had a great way of making everything sound “right”. Even if it’s like a piezo acoustic it doesn’t really sound natural but fits the song in a cool way. I can’t think of anyone better at recording drums
  8. This post sucks. First assuming the customer is at fault for buying a defective product. Then saying it looks like play wear? you know that feeling when you dig in for a big solo and you get a finger full of wood chips? I don’t why are we trying to be mean to a random person and then offering such dumb advice? It makes us all look bad
  9. Two nuns and a packmule is a classic… I dunno how many people here recognize how big of a loss this is. I wonder who if anybody will carry on electrical audio
  10. That is such a stunning guitar. Absolutely love the florentine cut. The carved spruce top.. wow looks like this is a bit of a necropost but not too old.. sometimes these letters denote the finish. “HC” on an SG usually means heritage cherry. Is there something called Heritage Sunburst? Otherwise historic series makes a lot of sense
  11. WHAT?! This came out of nowhere. I’m a big fan of his. This is shocking and sad
  12. If it was the governor of South Dakota that’s a pretty cut and dry case…yeah not only did I shoot my dog in the face I also shot a goat in the face because it smelled bad. Vote for me
  13. Funny, my first instrument was trumpet and the first thing I learned on guitar was the Day Tripper intro. Pretty much the same story all around
  14. This is the first guy that comes to mind about getting a custom carved top LP body made really nicely https://maximumguitarworks.com there are also lots of luthiers at mylespaul who would be able to make you one but I couldn’t really recommend anyone in particular I would look into getting a custom body made with carving and pickup cavities etc all done but no mortise for the neck joint. Let the luthier who is installing the neck cut the mortise Then again, if your luthier was willing to carve the top for you then that’s like 99% of the work making a LP body anyways. If he’s willing to carve the top he must be willing to make the whole body
