Primus played the entire, A Farewell To Kings a few years back. I’m gonna listen to each side by side with the originals. One thing is for sure, no one is gonna do Sheik Yerbouti in its entirety.

So my cousin sent me The Reimagined In The Court Of The Crimson King with a whole slew of musicians and singers on it. He also sent me Zakk Wilde doing the entire first Black Sabbath album. Don’t get me wrong they are done well, and it’s almost note for note accurate, but is it necessary to recreate to a T? He also sent me Tedeshi/Trucks doing the entire Layla album done live. Doing it as a live thing I get, but going into the studio and redoing it seems odd. It’s already done and needs no tweaking. How are you gonna improve on what the originals did? Do I want Dali’s Hallucinogenic Toreador hanging in my house painted accurately by Timmy Tingle?

Here’s one. The other day The Stones (Rolling) played the Jazzfest in NO, LA. Muck Jagged an Englishman needed to criticize the Governor of the State while on stage during their show in the same state. We all got opinions, but Jagged can express his while getting paid millions to shake his rump on stage. I do it here for free. Express my opinions, not shake my rump. And some are fine that Muck did it cause it’s his right and his concert. How about go criticize Parliament and the new King Of England and shut it about our country.

It was great. I saw them in ‘86, ‘92 and with the orchestra was ‘95 or 6.

What junk was on that album? I remember the dumb cover. That’s about it.

I love Powerage, and I’m a Bon AC/DC fan. BIB and everything after I don’t listen to. I never want to hear Shook Me ever again, or most of BIB. I guess I’m just weird. You know I listen to Zappa right. If you purchased Fly In The Wall sorry about that. I guess as an Aussie it’s your birthright.

The only one of the first bunch that is different is Perfect Day, due to Robbo on guitar. He got the boot after one album cause he liked to wear tutus and ballet slippers. Joe Bonamassa is gonna pass on this one. He’s got real 59’s in his collection. Yeah it’s worth more than 750 USD‘s, but it’s gonna need some elbow grease to make it shine again.

Super Glue + Guitar = Disaster. Use a small drop of wood or Elmers Glue. Small. It makes it easier to get off if/when you ever want/need to replace it.

You can do the M2M (Made To Measure) thing. It’s basically you custom ordering a guitar, but you need deep pockets. You have to contact a dealer to get one, aka a guitar store. And then your guitar goes to the bottom of the pile, and takes a while since there are many ahead of you.

Yeah, The New Romantic bands were the absolute opposite of punk. Dressed in slick clothes and made music to dance to. I do like the song Vienna by Ultravox. Billy Joel had one too.
