  1. Yes, Rabs. Ladies are always shocked finding out I am wearing lead underwear. You know, with caps likes that, You got to protect the family jewels. ;) Cheers... Bence
  2. Hello Denis. If You open up the cavity cover, You will find tiny blue capacitors soldered between the volume and tone pots. These set the frequency barrier of the treble-bleed (of the tone pots). They usually have the capacitance of 0.022 micro-Farads on Les Pauls. I stayed with these values, however, I replaced the ceramic capacitors with paper-in-oil ones. They made the guitar a bit less bright, more throaty sounding. Those big ones, with the "AMPOHM" brand. 3. Hello. Rather interesting question. I have yet to find a proper solution for using any kinds of outboard effects in the Low-Z mode. Wherever I put the transformer (before or after the effect chain) the sound quality suffered. Connecting the guitar to the Low-Z guitar input of my Zoom R24 worked well, though. With it's internal effects, I can manipulate the sound as I want... But anyways, the Low-Z mode (in my understanding) is for achieving super clean tones. For the rest, I use the other output. 4. Hello! Before swapping out pickups, try new caps instead. You might be surprised and pleased! Not to mention, it's much cheaper than new pickups. I have got these in my 2011 Classic Custom: Cheers... Bence
  5. Hello Rick, and welcome to the Forums! LP6+ = Les Paul Standard 60's neck with a Plus top (meaning a AA figured Maple top). HS = Heritage Cherry Sunburst. NH = Nickel Hardware. 1 = Factory 1st. Hope it helps... Bence
  6. This is the name of the band, not a musician. But to help roll over it, the leading member of the band is: Jason Kay
  7. "Saturday night special" - Lynyrd Skynyrd. Cheers... Bence
  8. Hello Capmaster! You have answered a question I`ve been wondering about for long. As it seems, after the `68 reintroduction of Les Pauls, the 3PU version didn`t had the OOP feature anymore. Cheers... Bence
  9. Hello Jimi! It wasn`t. They were wired same as the original `57-`60 Black Beauties. By the way the SG arrived to the scene as a 3PU Custom in Polaris White color in 1961. Cheers... Bence
  10. Hello! Traditionally, Les Pauls (including SGs) with three pickups provide the following switching options: "Rhythm" position: neck pickup alone. "Middle" position: middle and bridge pickup together, out-of-phase. "Treble" position: bridge pickup alone. Since, these guitars have three volume and one master tone control, - with the selector switch in the "middle" position - by rolling down the volume pot of the bridge pickup, You can select the middle pickup on it's own. Cheers... Bence
  11. "I drink alone" - George Thorogood. :) Cheers... Bence
  12. "Flying high again" - Ozzy Osbourne.
  13. Now, that`s a Standard I like. Cheers... Bence
  14. "Thorazine shuffle" - Gov't Mule. Next page: 918. Cheers... Bence
