Hello! Both my recently made Gibsons (the Classic Custom, and the L6S) - which came with hardcases -, have that scent coming from the case. My Les Paul Studio, which came with gigbag, - obviously - never smelled like that. What more can be said about this topic, or how simplier it could be said? :D Cheers... Bence

Hello George! I must admit the guitar is beautiful. The wiring is nicely arranged, clean job. But...no "Decade"... Also, I like the "Tone" switch on mine. Just by setting the EQ controls lower when the switch is in the second position I can play with a clean tone with an overdriven amp, and by switching to third position I can "boost" up to lead sounds. I miss that feature. I would like to try one - to be honest. It's still has stacked humbuckers. It offers the "Fat-tap" feature (which works great on Gibsons with regular humbuckers). Phase... Hello George! As it seems, these new ones are operating in the opposite way. According to the specs: "A high-quality Jensen audio transformer converts the signal to a balanced low-impedance output". Having no "Decade" and "Tone" control takes away it's essential abilities. Hm. Best wishes... Bence
