If you’re making wiring changes, it won’t be with that board
you won’t be disordering components from the board
the long time go to is 500k ohm pots all around, even if the guitar came with 300’s
Just get some 500’s and some paper in oil caps
unless you get “fancy “ and have 4 wire pickups then you can get push/pull 500k ohm pots
-
If it’s new contact the seller to get the pickup replaced
as for guitars going sharp
you’re pressing to hard on the string , a Les Paul is not a Strat. They are more touch sensitive.
mashing the string to the fretboard will pull it sharp

Headstock was broken off and re-glued back on
I’d probably skip it unless it’s really cheap

actually @IsaiahM45 There may have been employees or ex-employee's on this forum at one time.. I haven't seen anyone like that in a very long time here
this is a 'fan' based forum that is provided by Gibson (Fender shutdown their forum like this) , I'm surprised Gibson has not.
the Admin's are rarely here unless there is a lot of user abuse and nobody from Gibson will read/answer any questions
number of piece back is not serial number derived or if a particular worker has touched a unit.
you'd be best to contact Gibson directly; but don't think they'll give you much other that made on x day on y year
but if you wish to use a 'fan' based knowledge; the best place is the Facebook Group, The Gibson Les Paul
it has employee's and former employees that answer questions all the time (plus a lot of web based jockey know it all's; that are typically giving false advice) on that Facebook group.
as for uploading pic's.. create an imgur account, use that jpg link from the imgur.com website to post pictures here. (the limit Gibson put on the site is useless)

$1250Euros sounds a bit low , but Gibson V’s on Revb USA show around $2100usd.
I have an Epiphone Korina Flying V , there are some build differences with the Epip
I’d say not quite as finished as a Gibson but it’s a lot lower in price, as I can see some router marks inside the control cavity
I had a bit of issues lowering the bridge due to the way the pick guard hole was made too small
the Epip has lower powered vintage pickups, probably not good for metal
the Gibson you mention has hotter pickups and should be good for that

I’m not suggesting to take the covers off, you can damage the windings if done wrong
-
Double Black refers to the bobbins the pickups are wound on
notice There is a Zebra check box next to it the double black , meaning you can get zebra bobbins as an option
you’d have to take the chrome pickup cover off to see the bobbins

No matter how stoned you get Gibson, they ain’t producing a second COA for you

TV yellow don’t think was ever was to opaque
it was designed to look good (white) on old black/white TV’s of the time
I like wood grain showing, most due that’s why there are sooo many bursts
as for resonance: each chunk of vibrates at its own quality
that’s why you don’t rely on a “mail order bride “
you gotta get into a store and try each one

Just be careful adding foam, or bubble wrap. These can react with nitrocellulose finishes.
Yup better make sure it’s wrapped up with something like cotton

Probably not the best choice of case. There are many cases made by a number of companies that would have been a better choice.
With the body not moving there could be neck movement if the case falls flat which could cause a broken headstockI would suspect you’ll be fine in most of the time as even Gibson neck supported case breaks head stocks with “right” circumstances
put a foam block under the neck
as with any travel including baggage handlers; slack the strings half a step

Guitar Center has a few used Jr’s for sale around $1200usd
-
@SammySlo no Gibson sn do not tell you much of a guitar
year, day and production run number that’s it
you want to know about your ??
Loosen your strings undo the 4 screws in the neck pickup lift the neck pickup up and out
there will be a series of codes that are written in every neck pocket is the code for the finishers
style, grade of top, colour etc
-
@Sgt. Pepper that’s always the case, you live out side of USA. Your dealer is your warranty contact
even still most in USA get warranty through the dealer as well
-
Your guitar was made at the
Nashville Plant, TN, USA
on September 24th, 2004
Production Number: 178
looks like LP 50’s , plus top, VoS finish , nickel hardware, abr1

Must have been very damp/moist in that case

@cshrpminor sorry to hear your guitar troubles
We’re just a bunch of guitar enthusiasts here, not Gibson company
next this section of the forum is usually the spot for Gibson electric like Les Paul
most J45 posts go in the acoustic section
last I looked at the fretboard
the chunks out of are big enough, send it back

Ok I see Ron’s Place Guitars is in Houston TX
maybe someone here knows a good place in Houston

@cs759 can you post other angles of the body
use the img link for your picture to appear

I’m sure Gibson has a bunch of different TRC’s.
and probably one the last things to put onassembler just graded a TRC put it on
or someone at the guitar store pinched it before giving it to you

Since pandemic, everything has low stock, back ordered and higher prices
you’ll wait 8 to 16 months to order a new car up here,

I think it's something in between MOP and pearloid. I think I read that somewhere. I think pearloid is the super cheap plastic imitation. I could be wrong.
That was for production models tho, I dunno about CS.
Yup MOP real deal
Pearloid is plastic

Mass of the neck doesn’t determine the sound,
turning the tone knob and volume to 5
add a super distortion pedal
take a Marshall Plexi with 4x12, turn everything thing to 10
shoot some heroine
you’re good to go
-
I’m sure with 1.2oz your back will love you
but what about sustain. Less mass less sustain

Getting finish level blemishes out of vintage guitar? using buffing tool?
in Gibson USA
Posted
Nitro will blend into itself
buffing the daylight’s out of it will remove the nitro
if you’re into DYI , get some nitro from Stewmac and spray a new coat
your results may vary
