If you visit Sun studios in Memphis (and you should) the piano has a cigarette burn on one of the high keys from the Killer. They will let you play it (or at least not stop you) and you can sing into the famous microphone too. Afterward get yourself some Central BBQ.. cuz Memphis. RIP Jerry Lee.

Yet another Rangemaster. I wanted one for my studio and whipped this up Monday night but haven’t posted yet as I’ve been distracted by the new Martin. Since this is for my studio I didn’t bother putting any effort into aesthetics, but it sounds great with that NKT transistor
If any of you guys are interested I can post the stripboard layout that I made for this build
Nice, Man. I love a good Rangemaster!

I already sing 9 of them, and I'll put the 5ths up top on the Eagles stuff. Every song will be 11 minutes long and we'll end each with the three of us out front like the cover of the Bring It Back Alive record. It'll be awesome.

I think I came a little!

I could dig a three guitar army!

... sweet looking guitar you have!
Thanks. Haven't gigged with it much honestly. But I was very happy with it today. It has a fat 50s neck and the pickups really scream. Not great for cleans, but this was a classic rock gig so didn't really need clean.

"Stacy's Mom"?
IKR! Not my choice. People liked it though.

Just home from an early charity marathon. Played 3 hours of classic rock with a brand new band. It was a blast... Used this SG Classic with silver face Deluxe Reverb and Princeton amps.

Jeez. It's been a little while since I checked in here, and I had to search for this thread.
I had two last week. One on the weekend and one on Wed. but didn't post. My bad. Still wiped out from the Wed. Hard to get up early for work the next day!

Wow, this was buried 4 pages back. I know some of you guys had gigs...
Anyway back home from three sets... nice crowd, good beer, set list below. I forgot to take a pic of my setup, but it's the first time I used two Champs in stereo for this gig. Perfect set up for this room. I put a mic on just one of them for the house. but the two on stage made for some nice swirly stereo textures with phasing and Leslie pedals engaged. Fun set up to play.

I'm not worried about making it 'look Vox'....and (sorry, Surf) never liked those handles. I'm thinking polished wooden finish, perhaps with a posh leather handle...
No worries.... me neither. I just remembered seeing them there when I was buying a Marshall style handle for an amp head cab I built.

Too tired to post last night because I had a 2+ hour drive home. Anyway it was one of those small town street festival things where people just walk around and eat and drink and listen to bands. Some folks brought chairs and hung out. Overall pretty lightly attended, but we handed out 2 hours of classic rock nonetheless.
Set list and a kinda cool foto shot from the drummers perspective...
