If we were in it for the money we'd be crazier than we obviously are.
Right! We all know we are in it for the girls. Or maybe for those minutes on stage where we are really flying and anything seems possible. Take your pick

Will spend nearly all the gig money on petrol......
No sad. It's how it is. None of us is doing this to get rich.
I hear ya! My band mates and most of my gigs are two hours away. Sure glad the Gubment let's us deduct $.56 per mile.

Fine looking meal surfpup , hope you didn't have any damage and everyone is OK
4H
Thanks! We're all good - just hot, tired, and sweaty. Hoping for power soon!

Feel free to laugh at my attempt at solder joints. The nice looking ones were all done by Emerson. The ugly ones are mine.
After:
Nice job. I have a couple SGs I need to do that to.

Ha... actually that's how it came... The person I bought it from drew that on there. :)
I'd steal it. That's a cool looking shape.

These are the tops
I really like the shape you have drawn there, Rabs! It's classic and unique at the same time.

Pre-hurricane, eat up some stuff so it won't be in the fridge going bad meal...

Ode to Billy Joe. is that the old Bobby Gentry tune ?
That's the one. Great chance to use that Fender vibrato!

I'll be playing with various bands/lineups this week on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Should I post after each one?
Do it!
Oh, and a rehearsal on Wednesday. My wife is about done with this stuff.Flowers? Jewelry? A well-placed "I love you" never hurts. Or you could go the passive-agressive "I sure love you for supporting my music" route.

So yeah, I was kinda shocked but obviously happy that something I made can have that effect..
That's the best part - when you've made something that someone feels they love and can't do without. Congrats on the sale, man.

Friend sat in on a few tunes played through my rig. I think he's going to get Big Toe.
Everyone should have one!

That is looking amazing dude!!! The reflectors are the perfect choice
Now I'm delaying my 5e3 cab build further because I couldn't resist mounting the chassis and speaker to hear how it sounds in the cab. The cab really added a noticeable amount of low end and the amp just sounds bigger and beautifully balanced now. It sounds so sweet with any of my guitars, it's gonna be hard to wait weeks for the finishing to be done so I can put it back together. So happy with the sound from this thing
Man, that looks great. Really nice job rounding the edges (that gave me trouble in my own cabinet build).

Sorted
Hopefully barring anything weird going on I will actually get this finished tomorrow
The grain on that body and top is just sick! The two-color binding looks great too.

... also 1st gig I got to use my new BIG TOE boost pedal from Surfpups Tubular Mods Co. Great pedal. Thanks JC.
well, back to my snack, and unwinding ...
Glad it went well, Doug. Out of curiosity, where you setting the knobs on yours?

Looks like a great night. Is " The Itch" the one by KIX or some other song by the same name?
No, it's a Keb Mo song. I'll check out the Kix one though. I haven't heard that name mentioned in years.

Just in from a beach bar/restaurant gig. 3 sets - done by 10:00 ish hard to beat that. Used the Tele I recently made and the Champ I just bought and it was a perfect combination. In fact whilst tuning up, they were playing "Have You Ever Loved a Woman" on the house system. Figured if there is such a thing as a good omen for a new Champ that was it! Started playing along and I knew I'd picked the right gear.
Since guitar god RCT always posts his set lists, I'll do the same, though we veered off of it quite a bit as usual.

And oiled
Nice touch!

The long awaited 5e3 cab is underway.
I know a good joint when I see one!

Finished building these two pedals today. They are based on the old Electro Harmonix LPB (Linear Power Booster). I haven't built any of these in a while, and I forgot how bad *** they sound. I gotta keep one for myself. A little tight in the 1590B but it fits. Trying to come up with a catchy name for these based on the LPB - so three words... best I got so far is Lil Power Bomb... seems to fit the sound they make too.

3 sets, decent crowd, great beer...
I used my most recently assembled Tele and my newly acquired Champ since we mic the amps at this place. All in all things sounded great.
