  1. Alright now I'm awake thanks Pup! [smile] sounds epic, I'm listening now

I've been obsessing over this album from Shintaro Sakamoto recently. The drums sound so good, just love this guys' compositions in general. He's the guy from Yura Yura Teikoku with the most epic fuzz collection ever

Ooooo.... Hawaiian steel over those tight drums. Interesting sound. I'm digging it.

  2. Yeah. I'm kinda digging these acoustic gigs more and more. Just me and one other guy to split pay, simple PA setup and laid back music. [thumbup]

No doubt. We've even started using one big ol condenser mic - bluegrass style. Talk about simple. We have three voices and we just harmonize around the one mic. And everyone can hear each other. Simple is best sometimes. [thumbup]

  3. Just home after three hours on the deck at a beach bar. These gigs are easy and fun. You have to keep it pretty chill in the first set - stick to mellow stuff. But by the end you can crank it up a bit. Used a '68 Fender Princeton that always sits perfectly with the other guys acoustic. That combo makes me happy.

  4. How many chooks have you got SP?

We've got 4 and ATM we have two bowls full of eggs and are going to have to give some away as we will never eat them all.

I have 4 hens too. And I'm always giving away eggs. They can lay a dozen in 3 or 4 days in the warm weather since they are young and in their prime.

  5. Just in from a 3 hour gig. I should be sleeping already since I have to get up in a few hours for the day job, but you know how it is.

On the bright side we tried out a drummer and bassist tonight, and they did really well. So it looks like our little trio is a proper band now. We may still do the trio thing for mellow settings but we can really blast now as well.

  6. It was a hot day yesterday so we ate outside last night, sitting out until after dark. We made home made pizzas, two types and they were yummy.

We had one that had a smokey BBQ sauce base, Hungarian salami, Spanish onion, mushrooms and spinach, topped with mozarella cheese. (Pictured)

The second one was Sate' Chicken with some of the same toppings and a lovely Sate' sauce.

Best part is left overs for lunch!!

We tend to put a lot more stuff on our pizzas that they do in other countries, trickier cooking but really nice.

    That looks really delicious!
