    Hey vincentw; Thanks for the heads up on the gauges of the bass strings. I really do like the feel of the string set.

    I got a reply from Gibson about the SG Std. Bass strings. They say D'Addario 45-105. I wasn't sure, but that's what they felt like to me.

    Can any one tell me what brand, gauge sizes, and type of strings, (nickel, chrome,etc.), Gibson installs on SG Std. Basses from the factory?
