  1. Not a member of ebay to report it there, but did submit report to Gibson
  2. You can order your own custom sets I see just looking now and no they don't have a wound 0.019, but they do have a wound 0.020 kinda splitting hairs
  3. https://www.stringjoy.com/categories/strings/electric-guitar-strings/6-string-electric/ you're welcome Johnny
  4. Currently they have those seatbelty type.
  5. Got 3 SGs (2 Epiphones and a Gibson), none of them have neck dive. Guess I got lucky to be in the 10% 3 times, damn, should a bought I lottery ticket instead of that last SG. Johnny
  6. Hi Nibs, Sadly yes, I would say that the pull tab of your pocket is indeed the culprit that burned your neck. Never seen it happen like this before. Nitro is pretty sensitive to many different plastics and rubbers. Seen lots of other damage from old guitars on bindings and pick guards when stored in cases for long periods of time. I good luthier could refinish the spot and you'd never know, but it could be a bit pricey. Personally I'd probably just buff it smooth and keep playing it (I'd cut that tab out of the case too). Good luck. Johnny
  7. Guess you cant believe everything you read as the ad i referenced stated 53 inches which would been enough for you. Ah ok, cool that you are still in the build stage and can locate the tail anchors for the string lengths available. Got me wondering now if any of the EDS's actually have had the JP set up. Most of the recent pics I could find on the net have the tp in the standard location. Good luck and post pics of your project, we love that kind of stuff. Johnny
  8. Yeah that's the issue here for him....the JP set up on this guitar has the tp back about 4-5 inches from the standard eds-1275 so strings need to be extra long. Only thing I could find with a quick look around that would be over the 44-45 inches I'm guessing he might need are the EBs I referenced.
  9. Hi Light; Think I recall reading somewhere the Page used Ernie Balls. Here's a clip from a add for them from AMS. "Great Prices on Ernie Ball Strings from American Musical Supply. AMS offers 0% Interest ... Ernie Ball 2230 12-String Slinky Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings. Ernie Ball 12-String ... String length is 53' " you can call Ernie at 805-544-7726 to confirm. Johnny
  10. Upon closer inspection this morning (through clearer eyes), I'd have to agree with some of the others and say not real. Johnny
  11. The black plastics really make the white and gold pop!!!! Looks great!! Johnny
  12. There ya go!! That’s going to look awesome!!! Johnny
  13. Hey Temco; Think this was a Deluxe that originally had mini humbuckers that have been swapped for P90’s. Although it could be a special run for one of the big box chains. Johnny
  14. Hi Marc; You've already answered your question yourself a few times in your first post.... I have been playing it nightly for the past few days The guitar just seems to make me better it feels better, and I sound better I love the damn thing It really doesn't get any better than that...so just enjoy the hell out of it!!!!!!! Johnny
  15. Hi Tommy; To install your new 2 wire p90..... AS FZ stated.....connect the center wire to the red wire off of the plug. Then connect the braided part to the black wire. Insulate all connections of course so none touch, including the green and white so that they don't touch something and ground out part of your board. It really doesn't matter the deal with the old one (although it sounds like there is either a coil tap or a dummy coil in there somewhere for the extra wires) unless you want to install the old p90 into another circuit, but since it's being removed it's really not relevant. Johnny
  16. Wow! Did you notice the massive defect on the back of the neck on that PRS!!!!!! Not only is the gloss lower on the back of the neck than the body, its not even dyed/painted the same colour! Shamefully poor quality control to let that one out. Paul better run out and bring that one back for repair. Sorry couldn't stop myself LOL Johnny
  17. Well, there is a chance that the strings will catch in the bridge slots with bends, that said it shouldn't be any worse than any other tuneomatic. You can lube the saddles with a tiny dab of nut sauce too. Only way to know for sure if its going to give YOU trouble is just to play the thing and see if it gives you greif. If it does, report back and the friendly brethren here will help you out. Alternately there are inexpensive alternatives. I've used some of their stuff before and like their bridges, hard to beat for the $. http://www.guitarfetish.com/Roller-Bridge-Chrome-plated-fits-Les-Paul_p_661.html Johnny
  18. Hey Jayce Your welcome. The link is to the current production model, yours is an older production date. Not sure what year they changed from the Gibson truss rod cover to ones with model designations. I have a couple older Epis that have the same Gibson text and some newer ones that list only the model. There is a pretty comprehensive epi wiki but not sure that it lists the year of change for truss rod covers either, been a while since a browsed through it myself.
  19. What you have there is an older Epiphone LP100 http://www.epiphone.com/Products/Les-Paul/Les-Paul-100.aspx Good luck with your sale. Johnny
