maybe it's just me, that new headstock in lay is but-ugly.

it doesn't usually bug me too much either way,, I tend to adapt, but maybe it's just that they are all "close"
so I don't really pay much attention to nut spacing on the guitars I have at the house
The neck profile -- yea,, that's a big issue for me. Radius, contour, fret height are all make or break details for me getting along with a guitar

beautiful guitar. I have the poor man's Epiphone version, lol.
I do love playing this big boy. It is the most money I spent on an axe... ever,
But, no regrets.

Excellent!
Doesn't get any better than that.
😃A big plus is the people there are fantastic to work for.

I've only done 2 gigsd this year so am envious - want to get out there again.
Spark - that must have been a marathon....6.45 A.M?
it's good to get yourself out there, sometimes it's a bit of work to get a rotation happening. But it's worth it if you enjoy doing it.
Good luck!

Friday night Tavern Gig. I love playing here. The room is not easy to mix, the section people play in has a cathedral ceiling which drops to an 8foot flat ceiling towards the back.
I have two Bose S1s on poles left and right of me, my board is behind me. The S1s do a great job filling this room.
Good night too. Room was full from the start (about 30 people). 6 to 9, home by 10! at may age, that's a winnah!

I missed the part that was socialism. The free market part? Big money types owning and running manufacturing businesses cause they have too much cash to mind their own business? This problem is as far from socialism as you can get.
Ten percent of you guys want anarchy and the other ninety percent want what they tell you to want.
!LOL!
I think we should stick to *****in about the price increases and leave it there.

did ya price a PRS lately?
I rest my case

I might not have noticed this because I only ever tune up from below pitch.
I think that's how it should be anyway.
I guess the only option is to swap them out with direct replacements and see what happens

Check if are those variable ratio tim? where the base like 18:1 and the treble 20:1?
Not sure if Gibby is doing that but my Kingpin comes stock with this.
The idea is the treble tuners have a finer tunning capability than the bass side

that thing totally ruins the look of that guitar IMO
(note I explicitly said "the guitar")

The headstock break at that area is one the most common repairs that are done.
they need to pack them better.

alright! new guitar day! Sweet!
A shame about that snapped off headstock delivery.
you would think from the "Factory" they'd pack em proper.
one of the pluses for places like Sweetwater, they don't screw around, all guitars are double boxed Able survive almost anything a shipper can do to it.

I read some those news articles!
These guys got some serious balls
They actually try to come off like what they are doing is totally justified and legit.

Oh man.
Thoughts and prayers to you, good friend.
Hope it all turns out well in the end.
Stay dry.
😐Thanks Sparky
The damage done by the heavy rains in that short amount of time was nothing short of remarkable - and not in a good way
We were lucky that was only some water on our basement floor. Some people really got hammered.

Photos, kidblast.
We can make this the 'here's my guitar workspace' thread even.
🙂will get some in due time
we had a vicious storm come thru here on Monday
Basement took on some water,
we faired far better than others - some lost their homes
Look up Leominster Mass, Flooding - Sept 11 2023 on any search engine you'll no doubt get an eye full
Basement is in disarray after water came pouring in from just about anywhere it could find a way in,
10 inches of rain in like 2 hours. it was nasty
I'm in recovery mode at the moment

nice Sparky!!!
I have a dedicated work bench with storage too, a rolling kitchen cabinet with a fold out top and doors with storage shelfs
Turns out the perfect size for working a guitar.
Best thing ever!

like most of you guys I was at work,
one of my coworkers had just been down at the cafeteria for coffee, stopped by to tell me "Some idiot just flew a plane into the trade center"
while we were shooting the blarney, 2 minutes go by, everyone is leaving their offices, heading to the cafeteria.
by the time we get there, the facilities crew had already setup more TVs and the place was packed.
Everyone just watching the TVs including the entire cafeteria staff.
I just looked at my buddy and said "This seems something more than some idiot in a plane"
Right about then is when the second plane slammed into the second tower

the best day EVER will be the day I finally work my last day..
