  1. So, while changing my strings, yesterday, my Toggle Switch Cover split in two and came off.  I immediately went to my local Guitar Center and bought a new Gibson Authentic replacement.  They only had White, the one that broke is Amber.  No big deal, for now, it was only $4,99. and I also went on Sweetwater and reserved an Amber one.  $6.99 at Sweetwater.  My main question is, Why does it show up on this web page (in the All Hardware) as $21.99.  Are they different?  Does Guitar Center and Sweetwater not have real Gibson Authentic Parts, even though they say they are?

someone will know this one I bet..

And the sandcastle virtues are all swept away
In the tidal destruction the moral melee
The elastic retreat rings the close of play

Jethro Tull, Thick as a Brick.  Ah, I see someone else beat me to it.

  3. Gibson Les Paul Classic, '57 & '57 plus pups, through the Automix channel of my Peavey Classic VT Series and MXR 6-Band Equalizer.  That gets me my crunch / clean tone.  I add Chorus and Flanger for my RUSH Tone.  Compression Pedal for boosted/ distorted rythym and leads.  Grunge Pedal for Heavy Metal like Black Sabbath and Judas Priest.  Other effects: MXR Phase, BOSS Digital Delay, Cry Baby Wah, Morley Volume Pedal.  Occasionally switch to the Combined Channel on my amp for a little heavier distortion (not heavier than the Compression or Grunge).  And I sometimes use the Boost switch in my Morley to push a lead a little more.  But, most of my tone is in my fingers and pick attack.

Hi guys! I am an aspiring motion designer. I am doing a short video about Gibson and I want to know your preferences.

To create a good video, I need to find out why the musicians chose this particular guitar and how it attracts them. If it does not make it difficult, please answer four questions:

    1.  What are the main advantages of Gibson and why you chose this particular guitar?
    2.  Which Gibson models and colors do you like?
    3. Who is your favorite musician who plays Gibson?
    4.  What are your associations with Gibson?

Tell me a little about yourself it will help me a lot. Thank.

    1. American Made, Set Neck, Neck Angle, Nibs on some models.

    2. Les Paul.  Reverse Fire-Burst (my guitar), Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Tobacco Burst, Desert Burst, Iced Tea Burst, Gold Top.

    3. Alex Lifeson, Jimmy Page.

    4. I own one.

I have been playing guitar for about 48 years.  RUSH is my favorite band, of course I play a lot of RUSH music, and 70's Classic Rock.  I taught my twin sons to play, one plays guitar, the other plays bass.  They are 28 years old and have been playing for about 15 years.  I also play acoustic, but mostly electric.

Beautiful SG.  Love the Gold on White.

  6. I use a lot of pedals, mostly chorus, flanger, phase, compression and delay.  Occasionally wah-wah, volume and acoustic.  My MXR EQ is always on (not button, so just in my line).  Just recently got a Looper and a Harmonizer that I rarely use.  I wouldn't go without them.
