Kind of depends on (ahem) which part of them you're trying to eat!
Not able to be MULTI-lingual, I decided to be CUNNI-lingual instead!

Gas here inTexas is $3.00. National average is $3.40. Supply and Demand must be extra far apart in So Cal ! Unless it’s the State Tax.
You'd assume it'd be cheaper in Texas, but at $3.00 and the average here in MI being $3.19, it's not all that much cheaper. But in Cali, they might be adding a lot of what's called "sin tax" on gasoline, like here in MI, liquor and cigarette taxes are deferred to the cost of a gallon of gas. As well as a tax to help maintain roads. So I imagine gas would be even cheaper here if Michigan kept their WEIGH STATIONS open on it's freeways and help prevent a lot of overloaded trucks from fudging up our roads. Which would mean less money going for their upkeep, which would mean more tax dollars going towards where it will do most of us the most good and one less tax added to the gasoline price.

This line reminds me of the song "Barstow Blue Eyes" by Jo Jo Gunne.
If you can remember that you're at least as old as me....bet you gave her a good tip.
I went through Barstow in early 1980. Can't remember if I spent the night there or in Needles...on my way to the Grand Canyon.
I didn't do much today (Sunday). Playing my Strat. Windy out. Despite the relatively sheltered position of my house, that icy North wind gets through every single crack. A cold December night. Another storm due on Tuesday.
Dig that old Gunne tune. Let's help those who're unfamiliar----

I think most of us experienced forumites who belong to several online forums can count on one hand the number of threads we started that DIDN'T get "derailed" with matters not related to our thread's main topic, and have fingers left over. It's come to be a rite of passage on these message boards, and getting all whiny having hissy fits over it is pointless and unbecoming. I've tried to "Mother hen" threads before and came to realize the futility of it. So I simply try to keep on topic regardless of where else it seems to be going, and hope I get an on topic response. Unless of course, if the "derailment" seems to be more fun.
Then it's an "If you can't beat 'em" thing.

Yeah, cosmetically, for that model I'd like F-holes too. But my draw to this model is it's resemblance to the older BARNEY KESSEL Model used by Trini Lopez(before Gibson created his own signature) and in the mid '60's by the Rascals' Gene Cornish.
Now if I could find one of those in good shape and at a decent price, I'd druther!

I really don't care one way or another concerning a Bigsby. In fact, if the Johnny was available without a trem I'd prefer that. And any purchase of anything is still a ways off, And I can't guarantee that my limited PC skills will improve to the point I could post pictures by that time anyway.

this is guitar forum and I asked gibson question and now you are rambling about McD junk crap? What is next? Your wife making your life miserable?
Truly, this is what's known as a "lounge" forum page, on which many topics other than guitars can be and are discussed. There's also a thread discussing a Beatles documentary.
Oh! The HORROR!!
As for "supply and demand"----
It's a paradox actually. One would figure since the start of the pandemic, which resulted in many people being put out of work and getting unemployment insurance, there's be little interest and money spared for unessential purchases like guitars. Thus resulting in a surplus of supply, which logic would suggest a reduction in prices in order to quickly dispose of that surplus. I would guess that Gibson, in order to recoup any losses faster than logically plausible, raised their prices in order to avoid the embarrassment of their executives being forced to drive last year's Lincolns and Lexus's.

Good question. Everything seems to be going higher these days. Why are fast food prices so darn high?
My guess would be the rise in the cost of the metabolic steroids they give their beeves to fatten them up. Or perhaps Micky D and BK switched to using KOBE beef!

Today I did a science experiment: turkey makes humans sleepy so what about monitor lizards?
After stuffing a Dumeril's monitor (Varanus Dumerlii) with a plate full of cooked turkey it wound up falling asleep under the water. They can close off their nostrils and slow their metabolisms so it's perfectly safe for them.
There's your answer: YEP! Turkey knocks lizards right out, too. Don't even have to put on a Bears/Lions game.
Heh! That game alone was enough to put anything to sleep.
It's said the tryptophan in turkey, along with the uncommon stuffing of themselves is what helps make people drowsy and take naps after Thanksgiving day meals. But in my family, it was that combined with the amount of BEER consumed is usually what did it.

he's from the area (for me anyway) From Avalon Mass.
He was the sister of one of my friends' wives. Met him at the wake for my buddy's mom. he's not the most personable and engaging kind of guy. but he is a very good player
His first album IMHO was his best one.
1st---
HE was the sister? And of ONE of your friend's wives?? How's that done, and how many wives does your friend have?
Thanks to all for your response and answers. Yep, that price is a lot higher than some might be able to reach, but...
As one of my other choices is a Les Paul '68 reissue at roughly the same price, well....
Too, whatever the choice, it'll no doubt be the only electric I'd buy and have for the rest of my time, so price really don't scare me off.
Or Hell----
I might get both!
