My friend and I have had good luck on Facebook Marketplace.  Meet in neutral location with lots of people around and a friend with you. Cash only.

Oh lord, I tried that and the weirdos came out of the woodwork. One day I will tell the stories when I get out of therapy. Until then, I'm sticking to Ebay and Reverb.

MAYBE i would try to sell mine and buy the R8 i would never trade them in at guitar "trade in" prices, for me you loose a lotta money doing that

Bingo!! Reissue are nice, but a brand new Standard a that Custom are nothing at all to sneeze at.

I think the consensus  is to hold onto those Lesters.

Well good luck.  Hope they can take care of you.  Let us know how it turns out.  🙂

I am still in the mindset that it’s an issue with that battery.   It is either a sleeve/shield (to protect and guide the charger plug) that should have been pushed down further and sits flush with the top of the battery (you see this ring on all the batteries), or it’s a foreign object stuck in the hole.

This is the only thing that makes sense to me.

I had that happen on an old Les Paul I had and what I did was loosen the ring around the pup and pressed lightly on the pup till it bottomed out and let go quickly and it popped up. than re adjusted the pup.  Hope that's helps

I'm willing to bet this will do the trick.

I know the 339 us popular because it is smaller and lighter.   Make no mistake about, though, it is not a 335.  As far as I'm concerned, the 339 is compromised because of its size.  Truth is virtually all of them are bought because of the smaller size, the sound and what they do is secondary.  You won't find reviews saying they're being bought because they sound like 335, it is all about the size.

Go play them, you'll see. If you like them despite the differences, fine.

For me, it was more about the price than the size.

I remember seeing a post about tonerite a few days ago, it was quite lengthy , and also i *think* i remember reading that tonerite didnt work on laminated guitars (??) might be wrong

i havent tried this product, it would be an ok experiment, but im old skool and would prefer to play the guitar until it opens up naturally, but i think its ok if someone wants to accelerate this process

I want to agree with you, but I have always played electric. I have always had acoustics in my arsenal, but I never played them enough for them to "open up".  Now that I have received a Martin for Christmas, I find myself in a new situation in the guitar world. Totally different world... I'm considering this ToneRite because I know I will never put the time in to " open it up". However to pay that price to use it once...

You can think whatever you want, that is not a crime. Its when you act out and do something physical against someone's will that it becomes a problem.

And last I check words don't kill people. It may hurt and make you feel bad but nothing anyone has ever said to me ended my life.

    Huh? Sorry...

  8. Yes it was scripted and he was reading it off  teleprompter. To be honest, I always thought he was a horses arse, but I agreed with his opinion.

Right now I'm really having a lust fest over the CBS Philly meteorologist, is that bad? Kate Bilo

Slapping a girl in the face for dancing with someone at a party that would one day become your 1st wife is leading by example? I guess it is if you preach slapping girls in the face.

Good point. However he wasn't preaching "don't slap ladies in the face" at us. Just other things that I do not care to get into.

We all live totally different lives than each other...... Imagine what a homeless person might think of me purchasing a $1600 guitar, while he or she is sleeping outside in the cold.

i just think this Ricky individual is no better than who he ridicules.... As I’m sure there are plenty telling him “how great he is all day long.”

Your right, but you're also not telling the homeless to go out an buy a $1600 guitar and thinking they are fools for not doing so.
