Yes.  That pattern is carved into the wood as such..  Apparently thats what it looks like after the CNC has done its bit and before it gets sanded on a belt sander to get rid of the ridges...  Really was unique and sounded great..  The combination of pickups is something they should do more. The middle position was monstrous.

If I remember right, they were priced pretty reasonably. I should have picked one up for myself...

I had one of those...  A Gary Moore one..  I loved everything about it apart from the fat neck profile so sold it on.. But it was awesome...  A model I think Gibson should bring back (and not charge 2k for:rolleyes: ).

Was the grain as lumpy as is looked? I always thought those finishes look like alligator skin.

Had a brawl break out at one of my shows.  Like everybody was Kung foo fighting kinda brawl.  And we weren't even a heavy band so picture the fists flying while we're playing "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" by Pat Benetar.

That happened with me once. The mayhem moved into where we were playing. We stopped playing and started breaking everything down as fast as we could. We got paid an extra $500... I learned that night why some bands played behind chicken wire.

I was wondering that.. What year they started...  Also though I have seen some Classics from 2007 that look like the OPs guitar with covered pups.  Like in this video.....  Which if it is you should be able to tell by the slim neck

I don't think it's a classic due to the serial number difference.  The Classic has 6 digits while the guitar in question has 9. Also there isn't that annoying snot green inlays...
