That's a nice looking guitar, Cunk. You should drive over there today and play it, then buy it so you can get out of your "No Gibson" funk! The serial # shows it to be a '92, not a '91 as advertised. You might be able to get it at a good , pre-Christmas price.

You asked "Any red flags?". The reddest flag I see is its very low no-reserve price -- that is maybe half of what it should be worth if it were in good shape with no issues of significance. The pickups are neither here nor there -- shouldn't particularly add value nor detract from the value of the guitar.

It may be that the seller simply isn't aware of the price (score for the buyer); check out all the other items the seller has made transactions on (mostly sales, AFAICT): guitars are not listed. Or, there is a problem that hasn't been disclosed (score for seller).

Suggest you ask a bunch of questions.

Beautiful looking from what you can see from the pictures, which, since there are not close ups, is really not much. I would want to see a close-up of the bridge area (to see the saddle height) and the fretboard around the 12th fret, back of the headstock. Tell him your seriously interested and ask him for some more photos and a better description of its condition. "Very Good" doesn't mean much. Any cracks, breaks, repairs? How's the action? Will he give you a 48 hour return if you buy it? Does he have a BIN?

Anyone have an idea of what this would be worth? I'm thinking $1500 in today's market, max, but what do I know. And, is this maple b/s? Can't tell from the photos.

That would be this one I presume.

ha! they wouldn't bring that one out for me last time i was there! it was like a spinal tap thing - i couldn't even look at it! really though, here's the one i meant. i wonder if it wants me...its seems priced to sell but its been there a couple months. i wonder if something's wrong with it or maybe, it just doesn't sound good. sure looks good though.

I'll check it out. Actually a guy who I play in a band with, prices all the high-end vintage stuff there and knows pretty much every guitar and mando that's in the store, he's given me some heads up on some really nice playing guitars. I have practice in about two hours I'll ask him how that Gibson is.
