vomer Posted November 3, 2013 Share Posted November 3, 2013 Yes, it's just that the posts are rising vertically from the curved top, there's going to be a bit of a gap on the outer edge. Gordy01 Posted November 5, 2013 Share Posted November 5, 2013 What happens on an archtop while measuring for the tailpiece, is that the width measurement is taken off the tailpiece. When that measurement is transferred to the guitar, the holes will be the same width apart as the post measurements of the tailpiece. Because of the arch, this will look like it does.
