what can you say about Vox AC4C1?

I have two Casinos and two Vox amps -- an AC30 and a blue AC4C1. I'm going to be honest: both of my Casinos do not sound good in a Vox amp. If you are looking for Beatles Casino tones, you should know that The Beatles really did not use Vox amps with their Casinos. Much of the work they did with their Casinos was post '65 when they were using Fender amps. I have a Fender amp and that is the amp in which my Casinos sound fantastic.

The Vox AC4C1 is a decent little practice amp that works best with a Rickenbacker and some sort of pedal (reverb or chorus or delay). It isn't that great of an amp and when I plug my Casino into it, it does not sound great at all. If you are looking for a small amp for a Casino I would search out something that Fender makes. The tone from Fender amps seem to have more warmth and body to them than a Vox amp does and the Fender amp siuts the Casino hollow body best.

Here's my AC4C1. Good for Rics (and Fenders) not for Casinos.

And what amp can you advice?

Something with tubes and at least a 10 inch speaker would be my recommendation however tone is subjective and personal so you will need to try different amps for yourself. If possible bring your guitar to the store to see how your guitar sounds with various models, find something in your price range and go from there.
