MissouriPicker Posted March 17, 2014 Share Posted March 17, 2014 Cash is the "real deal." I think she's a true folksinger, sweet vocals, and a great writer (of music and books). She's matured a great deal in her music choices. Years ago she sang the music of her generation and she was decent at it, but now she sings the music of her life and she is awesome. A class act and very much like her father. I think he was and is very proud of her. Her music is different from what Crow does, but just as easy-to-listen-to for me. Crow tends to lean a bit more toward contemporary sounds, but like Cash, she can be very folksy. Both are far-different from anything labeled "modern country." Each pretty much does their own thing and I doubt they spend any time worrying about what the rest of the music world is doing.....When you're great, you can do that. DRC Posted March 18, 2014 Share Posted March 18, 2014 Not a fan of country music in general but I've always been a fan of Cheryl's singing, writing and guitar playing. Sounds like they're tuned quite sharp.... E major plus about 30 cents. Ouch. Just checked it on my keyboard and definitely sharp. ?? Also love Roseanne.... Cash that is.... NOT Barr!!
