Sev Grey
Hey guys, I'm looking at this epi dot, and it looks weird a bit. Have you guys seen any dot's with this kinda fingerboard inlays? I don't get the killswitch either. ? Thanks for any insights http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/msg/4398047273.html
crust
That is a painted over red/brown colored ( painted over with white paint) Dot studio with playing card neck position stick on stickers http://www.ebay.com/...=item1c3aec3738 Notice both guitars have no fretboard marker dots, as "stock", unmodified instruments. The guitar has had several added modifications, including a "kill switch" which gives the guitar a rapid off-on "effect", like tremolo (a little) when switched off and on rapidly as well as different than original pick-ups (no mention of what brand, could actually be worse than "stock", or better than stock). A used Dot Studio on Ebay goes for $200-$300 Dot Studio guitars are the least expensive Epiphone Semi-Hollow body electric guitars.

Thanks for any insights http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/msg/4398047273.html For a bit more money, you can get a new Dot and warranty rather than this uhmmm "custom" painted POS. IMHO only and YMMV. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/epiphone-dot-electric-guitar

Sev Grey
I checked it out, to give him credit, he wanted only 175 for it, but it was kinda rough, the pickups were weird, he said somebody "hand made" them, there was a single coil in the neck position with Humbucker casing, and the bridge humbucker was missing a screw, and just barely hanging on, and there was a hairline crack where the neck is connected to the body. Yeah the paint job was DIY but was a good job and the guitar felt really solid, surprisingly good but I still passed on it, especially because of the neck crack. Well this was my new craiglist adventure, thanks for the help
