slimt Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 should be a 1924.. and should have a truss rod as well. 1903 1500 1904 2500 1905 3500 1906 5500 1907 8300 1908 9700 1909 10100 1910 10600 1911 10850 1912 13350 1913 16100 1914 20150 1915 25150 1916 32000 1917 39500 1918 47900 1919 53800 1920 63650 1921 69300 1922 71400 1923 74900 1924 81200 1925 82700 1926 83600 1927 85400 1928 8730
bobouz Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Per Joe Spann's book, dating by the instrument's FON is more accurate for this era. That's what I used in dating my 1922 mandolin, and the numbers were available online.
L5Larry Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 .....serial number is 82287, any help appreciated! The published SN records I have show that number to be from 1925. 1925: (approx) 81200 - 82700 The numbers shown in slimt's post correspond fairly closely to the year "ending" numbers of what I have, in which case would also lead to 1925.
onewilyfool Posted September 3, 2016 Author Posted September 3, 2016 Thanks guys.....didn't know of that resource.....this one does have a truss rod!
