Introduction

Hello Everyone,

I have been a player and collector of Gibson acoustic guitars for over 55 years. 

My first was a 1964 J-45. My second was purchased by my intended bride was a 1970 12 - string Jubilee. My third was a 1990 Dove. The next was a 2018 Limited Edition Dove. Next was a 1997 Natural front Dove. My next one was a 1973 Dove Sunburst. Next was a 2016 Limited Edition Edition Quilted maple. 

The question I have for the forum is how many Limited Edition 2016 Quilted maple guitars were built by the Custom Shop, and how many 2018 Limited Edition Doves were built in the general production group with the Antique fronts, with flamed Cherry maple back and sides. I know the Gibson Custom made 100 Alpine white models, but uncertain how many Antique with Cherry back and sides.

Hello Rich, My name is Rich also and I am also new to the Forum. I have a 1969 Gibson J-50, which I bought in 1972 and a 2001 Gibson ES 335, which I bought in 2002.

Hi Rich (and Rich) and welcome to the forum.

I cant answer the questions either, but I suggest posting it in the acoustic section. I imagine someone there would have a better idea. Good luck
