Posted September 26, 2020 Share Posted September 26, 2020 (edited) I currently own two Limited Edition Gibson Doves, and would like to know just how "Limited" these two guitars are. 1. 2016 Custom Shop quilted maple with Heritage Sunburst (AKA known as Ice Tea burst) front back and sides. The seller said there were only 40 made. 2. 2018 Antique front, Cherry back and sides on flame maple. I believe they only made 150 of this model. This one was made in regular production. I think they only made 100 all Alpine White of this model in the Custom Shop. If anyone knows, I would appreciate it. Edited September 26, 2020 by Rich H. Sgt. Pepper Posted September 27, 2020 Share Posted September 27, 2020 Usually when Gibson does a run that has a limited amount they put as an example 4/150 on the back of the head or maybe the label. Many times limited means to Gibson we will make as many as we want but it will only be for a while. And unless is it specified how many they are doing they don't state it ever.
