Wyn Jones
I accidentally damaged a tuner and have been looking for replacement. I attach an image of the tuner ( part PMMH-040) and dealers still use dame images on their websites. However Gibson have replaced the "Gibson de luxe" with a distinctly poor looking "Kluson de luxe" (second pic) claiming in effect that my original guitar was incorrect. merciful-evans
If the Quote original guitar was incorrect then Gibson are responsible for that being incorrect.
Wyn Jones
Thanks. The guitar is out of warranty and I am beginning to suspect Gibson have cheapened their offer on this particular guitar. I bought mine in October 2006. Does anyone out there have a more recent '64 replica or (magic) an original please
Dub-T-123
The Kluson Deluxe tuners in the second pic are more similar to the vintage tuners. Gibson is currently using the Kluson deluxe style tuners on their reissues Edited February 18 by Dub-T-
Strong Heavy
Remove those poor tuners and install a set of real tuners : Schaller Double Ring !
