I've always switched off between a thumb pick and a flat pick but it would be nice to have the capability of both at the same time. It was ok for fingerpicking, but it didn't matter what thumbpick I used (and I tried a lot of them!), I never could get comfortable flatpicking with the thumbpick. You can't adjust the angle of the pick at all, and I found it difficult to control and create dynamics. During the pandemic I forced myself to learn how to hybrid pick - flatpick, middle, ring fingers. It took a lot of practice but it was worth it. tpbiii Posted October 2, 2023 Share Posted October 2, 2023 I use them. With finger picks. I can curl my finger picks up and grab the thumb pick and switch between finger picking and flat picking. I’m kind of interested in one of those guitar bows (so you can kind of make your guitar sound like a fiddle).
