bcc
I have had my 62' LGO for 15 years. I really like it. Its my guitar. It needs some work, though. The bridge plate needs to be replaced, needs a set-up, a few cracks could be repaired while the luthier is at it....I live in Norway where everything is expensive. But this guy is GOOD. The estimate is appx 800$ USD. Does it make sense to put that kind of money into this standard of guitar? I cant imagine it is worth much more than that.....thoughts? Ceptorman
That's a tough call. These sell for between $1000-$2500 USD according to Reverb. But yours is "your guitar"....how much is that worth?
bcc
this is exactly what i am trying to quantify! but for another couple hundred bucks i could have a newly set up same-class guitar from a shop, while still having "my guitar", just in not so great condition....tough call indeed. Sgt. Pepper
If it were me, and you were selling it in the condition stated, and I was in the market I would probably not buy it. If you had all those issues fixed, and disclosed them to me, and I was in the market, once again I would probably not buy it. That's me. A few hundo more as you said - "I could have a newly set up same-class guitar from a shop, while still having "my guitar". If it sounds great to you and its "your guitar" get it fixed. Pinch
What kind of cracks? Replacing a bridge and doing a setup shouldn't be very expensive.
