OrdinaryNimda
I wanted to read more about this guitar being re-introduced by Gibson, but there was nothing in the Lounge section. So here is a new ES-330 thread: Quote I already have a 335 at home, and this 330 is somewhat different, which makes it VERY appealing even for non-pros. It's a full-hollowbody with a trapeze tailpiece, so no center block, making it even lighter. There are other differences that I noticed, one is p90 pickups and the other is a brown case. OK, the fretmarkers are "small rectangles", but this should not be a deal-breaker versus normal dots. (Especially because there is no marker on the first fret and there really shouldn't be one.) And they have it in-stock even in Europe (Thomann, MusicStore...), which makes it pretty accessible.😎 Gibson web: https://www.gibson.com/en-US/p/Electric-Guitar/ES-330/Antique-Natural

Phil OKeefe
I already have a really nice Cherry Casino, so I'm all set, but a friend of mine really wants one of these in Ebony. IMO, they're really cool guitars.
Larsongs Posted yesterday at 04:51 AM Share Posted yesterday at 04:51 AM Why no Nickel Dogear Covers? The recent USA Casino’s don’t have them either? I have a Epi Ltd Edition 1961 50th Anniv. Casino with Tremotone that has Black Dogear Covers. They look cool on that Guitar. The ES-330 used to have Nickel Covers & they really set the Guitar off with Class. If I recall a few years ago you had the option on ES-330’s. Glad I got my USA Casino a few years ago when they did have Nickel Dogear Covers. In any case regardless of the Pickup Covers the ES-330 & the USA Epi Casino’s are amazing good Guitars!
Notes_Norton
I've got a 1970 with the long neck (higher fret access). I bought the Casio because the 330 was getting beat up doing one-nighters. 1
