Les Paul Artisan - Fan or Foe?

I'm the original owner of a '78 or '79 Tobacco Burst, Les Paul Artisan that was purchased new from DJ's in Cicero, IL. Supposedly this was the guitar used at that year's NAMM show to introduce Gibson's dealers to the TP6 tailpiece.

Anyway, just curious if these LPs are highly regarded, scoffed at or simply tolerated by you LP experts and aficionados?

I myself mostly play acoustic fingerstyle now and, unfortunately, rarely break-out the electrics. If I do, however, the Artisan is what gets plugged in first!

Cheers,

"Why would anyone hate a les paul artisan or a les paul in genreal...minus the fat necks or weight issues."

=> The neck is slim, better than the one I have on my supreme. From my point of view, it's the best LP I've seen. It took me more than a year to find a good one, but now it's done and I'm really happy about it. That's *the* guitar I'll never sell
