albertjohn
Hi Firstly, sorry if anyone feels this is not for the forum, or in the wrong place but I value your opinions. I'm off to see Eric Clapton (former player) Sheryl Crow (current player) and John Mayer (only seen him with a strat) in June. I know vitually nothing about John Mayer, except that he's a young and gifted cousin from over the pond, so I'm seeking guidance on what tracks to download/cds to buy in order to get a good idea. I don't like going to gigs and not knowing some of the music I'm hearing. Any thoughts/guidance would be very welcome. Thanks
Gibson CS
John Mayer is a great blues player. Now hes gone main stream and hes a bit wussy. Im not sure of cd names, but try something at least 5 years old to hear him wail.
ibis
I always use All Music Guide to check out anybody I'm not familiar with. Here's a link to John Mayer's discography: John Mayer Discography - All Music Guide
