jaxson50 Posted December 7, 2009 Share Posted December 7, 2009 I love the area, my family were early settlers in the Oregon Territory and many distant relatives live in the Bend area. I remember camping on the Deschutes river at Tumalo State Park, sleeping under the stars and waking in the morning covered with snow!!! We try to go to the Oregon Coast every summer, and at least every other year we try to go to Crater Lake, then drive down the river to Winston on our way to Coos Bay, it's a great drive.
