The important thing about top wrapping is it gives you Slashtone ha as much as I like Slash, I'll live with my own tone...lol Besides, I never saw anywhere that Slash topwraps. I know Joe Bonamassa, and possibly Page topwraps and someone else, I always wanted to know if there was a significant difference, but other than what's going on in my head, it doesn't appear to be, though my hearing is still being conditioned to these minor differences Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Blackie Posted February 18, 2010 Share Posted February 18, 2010 Unless you are acomplished at the whole deal, it is hard to pull off top wrapping.....I mean just being a known real good guitar player Cause some folks are going to think you don't know how to string up a stopbar......then you will have to define the unique benifit of topwrapping. Or you are going to get .....hey you trying to be like so and so....and can barely fret a note ha ha blah blah blah etc. So pretty much only Axe can get away with it.
