hey guys, i just got my hands on a Harmony H44 Stratotone from 1952. Picked it up at a yard sale along with a no name semi hollow bodied guitar.

The guy selling the guitars had no idea what this thing was worth i guess because he sold me both the guitars for $3.

can you believe that? i just got a sweet little guitar straight out of the 50's for a dollar fifty!

The Harmony Stratotone is one solid piece of wood from the top of the headstock to the bottom of the body, it has its original pain on it wich is like a gold / bronze color. One pickup. The neck on this thing is HUGE. I swear if you were blind and you picked this thing up you would think you were holding a baseball bat.

Theres a pretty cool video of Tom Waits playing the same guitar up on Youtube.
