Taurus Bass Pedals

Im thinking of tracking down a set of Taurus bass pedals.

Any Rush fan will know what I mean. Its a floor pedal (rather large) that has

bass notes that you step on...

 

Anyone ever use one?...are they a pain?

I've never seen that one, but similar stuff has been around for ages - as in at least 30+ years.

 

It seems always to be around the fringes with somebody wanting one badly enough to keep them more or less in production.

 

To me it's kinda like some of the old one-man band stuff that gets a bit complicated. I know I have enough trouble trying to do self recording, pickin' and watching the record-stuff on the computer. Add singing and it's yet more complicated. It's the same kinda deal where, until there's an automatic response that requires no brain power, it could be difficult. I s'pose if you're "just" doing rhythm type playing it could be okay.
