BCSC
This guy is the real deal. Musically. Lyrically. Cosmically. And he's a darn good guitar player to boot. This is the album this year that's completely grabbed me. http://www.lala.com/#album/360569445176456286/The_Tallest_Man_On_Earth/The_Wild_Hunt
Gilliangirl
This is the first I've heard of him. He's fabulous! He reminds me of someone but I can't put my finger on it. Jack Johnson meets Peter Mulvey? I'll think of it....
KL
Yes but which evil person drilled that strap button into the side of that little Guild guitar?
BigKahune
This guy is the real deal. ... Thanks for the links. I'm onboard and liking it a lot. This is the first I've heard of him. He's fabulous! He reminds me of someone but I can't put my finger on it. Jack Johnson meets Peter Mulvey? I'll think of it.... Kind of reminds my of a young Bob Zimmerman, with a better voice. And a touch of Van Morrison. :)
McDuff
Wonderful, especially like the line "And I plan to be forgotten when I'm gone." I'd agree poetically he is kind of similar to Dylan (I'm assuming that's who you're talking about and I'm not just entirely ignorant to some other musician) but I think his guitar style is really different almost reminds of the mountain goats but with some more energy behind it. Either way I'll be picking up the album.
BCSC
He's playing here tonight in Asheville, NC at a great local indie store, Harvest Records. Unfortunately, both shows are sold out. Sure would love to see him live. My favorite line from "King of Spain": "And I'll settle in Pamplona/And provoke the bulls with words" Brilliant! Here's a live vid of that tune:
