bloom59 Posted May 4, 2010 Share Posted May 4, 2010 I am in the Louisville area and was excited to see that line up of artists as well. If you're in Cincy, go see Tom Petty at Riverbend, definately do not go see him at Freedom Hall. It's a terrible place to see a live show. I am heading an hour and a half to Cincy just for that reason. And as much as I hate to say b/c I was really excited to see Clapton for the 1st time, but I have read several reviews of his shows so far and many of them were similar: Great to see a legend, songs sounded okay, but Clapton appeared disinterested and just sort of mailed it in. Looking forward to Petty's new one, supposedly it's very bluesy. Don't laugh, but keep an eye on the summer schedule for the Caesar's Casino just across the river from L'Ville in Indiana. It seems like no one good ever comes to St. Louis. The last good concert I saw was B.B. King and Buddy Guy back in February. I would really like to see Clapton before he dies.
