BENT E Posted March 14, 2008 Share Posted March 14, 2008 Mine is an '05 Korean model made at the Unsung plant. It's a Metalic Red Special Edition Ltd., and one of my favorite guitars. It's usually my go to guitar, cept' I finally bought a Casino last week, so I'm currently diggin' that right now. The Kat is versatile as well and a very comfortable guitar to play. I grab it while watching TV, as it doesn't disturb anyone unplugged. The neck is quite nice, similar to an LP IMO. The weight is nice , not to heavy with a nice contour with it's smaller body. I added a pickguard fashioned by myself, as well as adding a ghaphite nut for better tuning stability. The tones are cool with a nice mid range, and twang, depending on what amp you use. lostindesert Posted March 14, 2008 Share Posted March 14, 2008 It's the best Epi i've ever owned, did once have 2 Les Paul Standards and 2 Sheratons but i like this one better. Nice chunky neck, not too big a body and these P-90's are great pickups, it's my first guitar with them. Don't have a case and no picture but it looks like my avatar. Parabar Posted March 14, 2008 Share Posted March 14, 2008 I got my 2001 Wildkat (Samick made) used on eBay a few years ago (with the Epi hardshell case). It was a sweeet deal on a sweet guitar --- versatile tones, great action, and purty, too! I changed out the knobs for pearl tipped ones, which I think add to its simple elegance.
