pohatu771
Adjusting the bridge height can't hurt anything. It's a temporary fix, though. Eventually you should probably have the fret fixed.
shartom
How does the neck look? Is there any relief? Try raising the bridge and check it after each adjustment. I've never heard of one fret being high. Sometimes a combination of neck and bridge adjustments or lack of, can cause the problem you are experiencing. I have a new LP Ultra that needed the neck adjusted. It played just fine, but I like a straight neck, my preference. After the adjustment, there was a buzz at the forst fret. Raised the bridge a tiny bit and the buzz went away.
lostindesert
Never heard of one fret being high ? On budget guitars i've encountered it more then once. Just needs to be fixed by a tech or someone who knows what he's doing. Peter
TheX
Wonky frets are common, have someone look at it that knows what they're doing...you'll be glad you did.
yosoybay
I like that word: "wonky."
