bluesstringer
Any one ever attemp to put regular size pots in a Sheraton or other thin semi-hollow ? Will the body depth accept them ? I've never liked the minis - they don't have enough range. Any experience here would be helpful before I spend the time and then find out they won't work. I'm going to keep the stock pups but replace eveything else. Thanks.
TWANG
F holes too small. couldn't get full size in mine. I might have.. if I'd been willing to bend the lugs, but really, the hassle of getting those through with the whole thing wired up, as must be done.. I'd bet you'd be tearing things apart as you installed over and over! best you can do is buy the best pots you can in minis. If it makes you feel any better.. mine sounds much better now with the new pots.. new caps.. wish I'd put in the treble bleed though.. would have been better with my VJ. jcwillow777
I put new full sized pots in my Dot and Sheraton, and they fit, when I swapped out the pickups. I did have to turn them and play with them a little, but they fit. It was a little tighter fit in the Sherry than the Dot though. The ones I replaced were full size also. Not long shaft, short shaft. I put in Alpha pots that I got from GFS.
