p-90's in a Dot?

Hey everyone!

I'm finally swapping out the pup's in my Dot and just exploring my options.

I run through a EVJ with an Analogman Beano Boost as my overdive.

I was just wondering about putting in "90 humbuckers.

Something to brighten up the sound.

My only concern is how would 90's react with a treble booster?

Or should i just stick with '57 classics?

I've also got my fuzz face to use. but i find it thick and muddy with the stock pup's.

thanx in advance..

POV.

I put a GFS mean 90 in the bridge and vintage '59 in the neck.

It's got alot of tonal variety.

I can get AWESOME clean tones, but when you kick on some overdrive, pure blues to hard work when you want it.

If you use your volume knob and an overdriven tube amp for your tones, this combo works awesome.

I use kent armstrong p90s . humbuck size.. in my sheraton. I love 'em.

I use one in the neck position of my lp, too. very happy with that combination, as well.

all the mud is gone.. high end is better.. overall I think p90s have more clarity and cut..

but little of the problems I complain about with humbucks.

the KA humbuck gives me a different sound.. and I'm wiring it for dual and single coil soon.. hoping that works out balance wise, still.

I love p90s and I'm terribly biased so..

do what I do! and stop asking questions.
