hbomb76
I am not a 'traditional' (single-cutaway) Les Paul fan at all, but I admit I love the Nanomag system in the Ultra II. I think an SG equipped with them would be an incredibly versatile guitar as well. Hell, it doesn't have to be super fancy (spare the gold hardware and fancy finishes), just a standard looking G-400 in the normal finish options...maybe even with a bound fretboard. I'd certainly enjoy that, because I RARELY play clean (like, NEVER...lol) but with such a warm "acoustic-ish" sound I could expand my repetoire a bit I think. Ricochet
I think an SG equipped with them would be an incredibly versatile guitar as well. Excellent idea. I'm not a SG-guy myself, but I certainly would like to see them using a nano on more than one model. Like with the Prophecy series. The PU-options are between Dirty Fingers and EMG. Neither particularly appeal to me.
Bender 4 Life
I play my G400 pretty clean.....i'd DEFINITELY add to the herd if they came out with a 400 Ultra2
Stevie Nazarenie
i was looking at the ultra 2 now i may change my mind as i don't like the les paul neck joint. an sg or dc with nano mag would be good. i don't know if you have to have a guitar routed in any way or if it is an add on seperately but i would like to try one. RotcanX
I think it's mostly a question of removing the fingerboard wood past the 22nd fret. I'm pretty sure that the way this thing will work will be that if sales on the Ultra II are incredible Epiphone may consider a G-400 version.
