Epiphone Dot Hard case

Here's a cheap case:

(Sorry but how do you respond to, "I want a cheap case for my valued guitar"?)

It's good that you want a hard case for your Dot - a hardshell case is simply the most

important accessory you can buy. And it's a helluva lot cheaper than a broken axe. I'm

on a budget, too, so I understand the concern about cost. But a good new case only

costs about as much 8 sets of strings - pretty cheap, really. A used case is certainly a

good idea but may be hard to find.

SKB makes a nice flight case for 335 shaped guitars. My Casino fits in there perfectly.

BTW, I wouldn't put my guitar in anything less than a flight case. One small bump and that case is cheap, because it saved your expensive guitar.

Don't settle for anything less.

Try FleaBay if you want to find a deal.

Check out Andertons www.andertons.co.uk (they're based in Guildford, Surrey but will ship to NI no probs). I picked up a superb Stagg black vintage tweed hard case for my Dot Studio for £40.95. Doubt if it's much more than a tenner for shipping or check prices locally. I've got a similar one in brown for my LP and more than happy with the quality.

Well' date=' im only 16 years old and i am abit short for cash.[/quote']

Just having a bit of fun, Sean. Didn't mean to offend. Hope you can get a hard case

soon, whatever the cost, to protect your Dot. Call every music store, pawn shop, etc.

to see if there's a used case available. And check out the site below.

A friend told me this and you may want to give it a shot. Go to pawn shops and guitar stores and ask if they have any old cases available. The guy I spoke to told me he picks up just about any case he needs that way - I'm sure pawn shops would have more than guitar shops.

Hey,

That andertons place is pretty cheap for a case your talking 70 or more for a new case on ebay, hey ron you didnt offend lol ](*,)

I really like the idea of going to a pawn shop or guitar place and asking for old case's but since the only guitar place in my town is pretty crappy they only sell black fender telecaster's and stratocaster's so i cant see them having any case's at all but i do however have a pawn shop in my town so i will go there, Sorry abit off topic but when i was getting my epiphone dot i went to my local music shop and asked about them getting in a epiphone or having any but the guy said that there was something up with epiphone and that they couldnt order any in, looking back he said that epiphone stopped making the dot for a few months i dont know if this is true or not but a couple of weeks later i went to a music shop only a 30 minute drive away i got my epiphone dot no problem what happend was i went up and asked did they have any epiphone dot's in stock and they checked and said no but i looked at the Dot studio and i said ill get that but i got a phone call from the shop a week later saying that the epiphone dot was in stock and that i got that ordered in instead however if i ordered the epiphone dot to start off i would of been paying £399 but the epiphone dot studio was £329 so the guy gave me the epiphone dot for £329.

I just wanted to tell you guys how i got my epiphone dot, i think its a pretty dam good story

Cheers.

Well, if you can talk down the price of a new guitar you should be pretty skilled at talking down the price of a new guitar case.

Maybe even ask around if they have an new one that's scratched or blemished and see if they would be willing to sell it at a reduced price.

I bought a Stagg Vintage Tweed for my Strat. Very nice case for the money.

I don't know if prics are much higher in NI than the rest of the UK but I paid £149.00 for my Dot Studio (three weeks ago) and the Dots are only £229.00 or thereabouts in Andertons. For £339.00 you'll get a Casino.

The prices you were charged seem way ott.

Yup, I was wondering about that too. I saw a Dot LE for £179 about 2 months ago(Soundslive I think) I was severely tempted...
