slasher1319
Hey people. I was planning to get an epiphone goldtop 56 but cant find the exact color of the BACK of the guitar. Is it a darkback, as in reddish balck or is it one of those light brown backs? Post pics if u have time plz. Thanks a million.

pohatu771
Like all Epiphone guitars, the wood varies. That also means the colour will vary.
Canine
The correct color is a dark cherry, I think.
charlie brown
(Gibson) "Gold Tops" had either "natural" backs (whatever the wood color is), or...in rarer cases, the "dark backs!" Some, special editions were ALL gold. The Epiphone versions I've seen have been mostly the slightly courser "sparkle gold" tops, with the natural wood finished edges and backs. But, I don't claim to have seen them all, by any means. CB
